Puppies on Thanksgiving!

Yes, it is true! We will be having a new litter of puppies and they will be born on Thanksgiving Day (plus or minus a day or two, of course). Our 8 year old son wants to name them after traditional Thanksgiving dinner food items: Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, etc. - although I'm not sure where green beans or squash will come into it...

The Mommy dog will be Stella who is the family dog of our sister and her family. Stella is an English Cream Golden Retriever and she is incredibly loving and gentle. Stella loves her seven member human family and she will be an excellent Mom. This will be her first litter. The Daddy dog is Bailey.

The puppies won't be quite ready to go to their forever home by Christmas, but they should be ready by mid/late January. This way you can play with all of your Christmas presents AND still have something special to look forward to in January!
