Puppies Keep Growing: Now 5 Weeks Old

This has been a busy week in puppy-land! We successfully completed weaning the puppies from their Mom (Penelope). Everything happened smoothly and on schedule. Once the puppies start getting their teeth, their Mom is less and less interested in nursing. The puppies are now eating blended food that is soupy. They love it!

LITTER UPDATE:
These puppies are F1b Goldendoodles and will grow to be medium-sized (about 45 pounds). The mom is Penelope (an F1 Goldendoodle) and dad is Oliver (our favorite AKC Standard Poodle). This will be their second litter. Both Penelope and Oliver weigh about 45 pounds.

We are now accepting deposits ($250) to reserve one of these puppies. The puppies are scheduled for their Vet check on Friday, November 15th and will be ready to go to their new homes after that.

We currently have 2 boys and 2 girls available. I will mark the photos (below) with details:

Mr. Purple (RESERVED): He has a very pretty, curly coat and has a beautiful patch of white fur on his nose/face. He is very relaxed and cuddly.

Mr. Red (RESERVED):  He is a true cutie.  He is very inquisitive and loves to play - more than he wanted to sit still for the photos!

Miss Orange (AVAILABLE): She has a dark brown, straight coat that will turn curly as she ages. (Most puppies get their final coats around 9-12 months of age). She loves to wrestle with her brothers and sisters - and play with their ears, too!

Yes, that's my hand trying to get out of the camera's view..

Mr. Blue: (AVAILABLE): I call him "Bolt" because he has a little bolt of white on top of his head. He's one of my favorites in this litter. He loves to snuggle - and also loves to grab toys from his siblings and run off with them. He also had NO interest in sitting still for his photo shoot!

"Hello out there!!"
Mr. Green: (AVAILABLE): This cutie is a shy little guy that loves belly rubs. He is the smallest boy in the litter, but not by too much. He loves to snuggle and be close to people

Miss Black: (AVAILABLE):  She is the darkest and calmest of the girls. She has a beautiful dark coat and loves to be held and pet. She was partially asleep, so she has a reason to look tired in her photos.

Miss Yellow (RESERVED): She has an adorable white chest and is fun to play with. She was just reserved today.

"I must squash the impostor puppy!"

Four Weeks and Getting Cuter!

As the puppies continue to grow and thrive, we add new experiences to their days so they continue to mature. This past weekend we took them outside to play in the grass for the first time. It was a beautiful day withe temperatures in the low 70s!

Here's a quick video of the fun, and then some pictures from last night.

Penelope's Puppies 3 Weeks Old

Penelope's adorable puppies turned 3 weeks old yesterday (Saturday the 12th). They are now all walking, talking, and wrestling like puppies should. For those of you just joining this "conversation," let me post a quick update:

These puppies are F1b Goldendoodles and will grow to be medium-sized (about 45 pounds). The mom is Penelope (an F1 Goldendoodle) and dad is Oliver (our favorite AKC Standard Poodle). This will be their second litter. Both Penelope and Oliver weigh about 45 pounds.

We are now accepting deposits ($250) to reserve one of these puppies. Once the puppies turn 4-5 weeks of age, between October 19 and the 26th (depending on the puppies' maturity), we will make final selections in the order of received deposits.

OK, back to the cuteness:
(For the record, it is my 11-year old daughter that is holding the puppies. She is also the primary snuggler!)

There are three (3) girls in this litter, and two (2) have been reserved. I obviously won't know for another week or two which one is still available, but each of the girls (and the boys too) are adorable and love playing with people. The girls have the following collar colors: Black, Orange and Yellow.

That leaves four (4) boys - my daughter says I always have to list the girls first. Their collars are: Green, Blue, Purple, and Red.

First the girls:

Miss Black:
Her coat is dark brown all the way around. With her black nose and dark eyes, she is gorgeous.

Miss Yellow:
She is also very dark in color, and also has some white on her chest, and a little white chin.

Miss Orange:
She is dark like her sisters, but with only a hint of white on her paws.

Mr Red:
He is a very pretty puppy. He will have a curly coat and will have white on his head and face. He has a pink nose, but that usually darkens over time.

Mr. Blue:
I call him "bolt" because of the splash of white on his head. He's a cutie!

Mr. Green:
He is probably the darkest color of the boys, and is very attentive and snuggly.

Mr. Purple:
Another cutie and another splash of white. A very nice wavy coat.
