Puppy Status Update: (6/14)

First of all, Happy Flag Day USA! My father was born on this day, so we always celebrated Flag Day, and I stumped all of my friends who had no idea there was such a date.

Anyway, we have encouraging news!

We attempted to breed our Penny, one last time. We had planned to retire her, but she started her heat cycle on the same day we discovered our Bernese mom, Terra, was NOT pregnant. After a detailed examination of Penny and her health, our Vet gave us her blessing to have one more litter with Penny.

We bred Penny, and we will know by the end of June if she is pregnant. To be even more open and transparent, we don't believe Penny is acting pregnant. We'll know in a couple of weeks, and I'll be sure to update here.

On the good side, we were successful in breeding Biscuit with Toby - who was also the father of her first litter (2021). Biscuit is an adorable 25-pound F1 mini-goldendoodle. Her mom was an English Creme retriever, so she has a rich creamy color to her. Very pretty!

(Here are a few pictures taken just this past week.)

Toby is a 14 pound miniature poodle (AKC) who is just as cute as a button, and very happy around people. They had 5 puppies last year, and they were all adorable!

Assuming Biscuit is pregnant, her puppies would be due approximately August 13th, and they would be old enough to go to their new homes on the first weekend of October.

Enough conjecture for now. I'll let you know as soon as I know more.

Thanks!
