Four Weeks and Getting Cuter!

As the puppies continue to grow and thrive, we add new experiences to their days so they continue to mature. This past weekend we took them outside to play in the grass for the first time. It was a beautiful day withe temperatures in the low 70s!

Here's a quick video of the fun, and then some pictures from last night.

Penelope's Puppies 3 Weeks Old

Penelope's adorable puppies turned 3 weeks old yesterday (Saturday the 12th). They are now all walking, talking, and wrestling like puppies should. For those of you just joining this "conversation," let me post a quick update:

These puppies are F1b Goldendoodles and will grow to be medium-sized (about 45 pounds). The mom is Penelope (an F1 Goldendoodle) and dad is Oliver (our favorite AKC Standard Poodle). This will be their second litter. Both Penelope and Oliver weigh about 45 pounds.

We are now accepting deposits ($250) to reserve one of these puppies. Once the puppies turn 4-5 weeks of age, between October 19 and the 26th (depending on the puppies' maturity), we will make final selections in the order of received deposits.

OK, back to the cuteness:
(For the record, it is my 11-year old daughter that is holding the puppies. She is also the primary snuggler!)

There are three (3) girls in this litter, and two (2) have been reserved. I obviously won't know for another week or two which one is still available, but each of the girls (and the boys too) are adorable and love playing with people. The girls have the following collar colors: Black, Orange and Yellow.

That leaves four (4) boys - my daughter says I always have to list the girls first. Their collars are: Green, Blue, Purple, and Red.

First the girls:

Miss Black:
Her coat is dark brown all the way around. With her black nose and dark eyes, she is gorgeous.

Miss Yellow:
She is also very dark in color, and also has some white on her chest, and a little white chin.

Miss Orange:
She is dark like her sisters, but with only a hint of white on her paws.

Mr Red:
He is a very pretty puppy. He will have a curly coat and will have white on his head and face. He has a pink nose, but that usually darkens over time.

Mr. Blue:
I call him "bolt" because of the splash of white on his head. He's a cutie!

Mr. Green:
He is probably the darkest color of the boys, and is very attentive and snuggly.

Mr. Purple:
Another cutie and another splash of white. A very nice wavy coat.

A Quick "Heads Up!"

As of today (10/9), I have accepted 2 reservations for this litter. Both people have expressed an interest in adopting a girl. If you are interested in one of these puppies, please act quickly!

Penelope's Perfect Puppies

Penelope delivered 7 healthy and beautiful puppies on Saturday, September 21, 2019. There are 4 boys and 3 girls.

At 2 weeks of age, their eyes are just starting to open, and they are just learning to use their legs. It's a very cute age.

I tried to get some amazing and adorable pictures tonight, and then I discovered that my wife had plans, and my kids had homework to finish - so I was on my own! I try not to be a martyr, but when the shoe fits...

Anyway, here are some pictures of the puppies. I'll get better ones soon, I promise!!

Mr Green: He has a beautiful dark red/brown coat. It is showing straight now, but I expect it to get wavy as time goes by.

Sticking his tongue out!

Mr Red: He has some very pretty white markings on his head, paws and chest. Typically, his pink nose will darken up over the next few months, but the white should persist. He has a nice wavy coat.

Miss Black:  She has the darkest coat of the girls, and seems to be the calmest so far. It's hard to tell personalities at this age, but she seems happy to sleep in the corner while her siblings play.

Miss Orange:  Another pretty and dark coat. It should definitely be wavy.

Pay no attention to the goofy guy...
Mr Blue (Yes, it is light blue!): He has eye-catching patches of white, and seems to be very playful.

Mr Purple: A pretty color and some more white on his nose. He was the only one who was willing to truly sit still for the photo-op.

At this point, it appears I stopped taking pictures after one good Purple one - and before I took pictures of Miss Yellow. Sorry! Penelope is now sleeping with them and they are out for the evening - as I should be too.

UPDATE: I tried to take a picture of Miss Yellow, but she was in no mood for it, so I'm going to add this picture of her snuggling with her Mommy!
