Piper and Her Puppies! (3/15)

Piper is a fun-loving little girl. Technically, she is a 35 pound mini-goldendoodle (F1) who loves people and loves to run and play. She also loves to snuggle up with her human and get long pets from anyone she can find.

She normally lives nearby, with her Guardian Home/Owner, but since she just had puppies she is staying with us out here at Sherwood Farms. (SherwoodFarms.dog

When she’s not caring for her puppies - which I’m sure feels like a 24/8 responsibility - she loves to run around outside on our walks. We have a lot of open room to run around, and she is so happy and carefree!

She normally ignores the deer we see - which is good - although they stare at her very intently. Piper laughs at our family dogs who are “stuck” in the fenced yard, and she is still trying to figure out the Sandhill cranes. (Wow, they make a weird noise!)

This is just a short video to show how she runs - almost frolics, if I can use that word -  and is always looking back to see where I am and to make sure everything is ok.

Her puppies were born on March 9th and they are doing great. You'll have to trust me on that, because they are still too young to "do" anything. They pretty much sleep and eat - which is what my kids think I do!

We bred Piper with "Toby" who is an AKC miniature poodle. He weighs a small little 14 pounds, but he has a much bigger personality. We have contracted with him (actually his human) before, but Toby always impresses me with how friendly he is to people he barely knows. He's a cute little guy.

Piper's nine puppies are F1B mini-goldendoodles. We expect them to grow to about 25 pounds and be fun little balls of fur. There are a total of 5 girls and 4 boys in the litter. This week I will be contacting people who have expressed prior interest in adopting a puppy I hope to know how many puppies will be available for open adoption within a few days. Stay tuned!

Puppies:

Boys collars are Yellow, Green, Black, and Teal (light blue).

Girls: Gray, Red, Blue, Orange, and Purple

If you would like more information, feel free to through the contact information listed above.

Oh, before I forget... This will be Piper's last litter. She is healthy and fine, but we have decided this will be the last time we breed Piper. We do have other Moms who will have puppies, but this will be Piper's last litter.

As a final added note: Today is my wife's birthday! She may not like me broadcasting that fact, but if you knew how amazing she is, you would understand why i have to tell everyone!

(It's also a historically bad day for people named Julius Caesar, but that is even more off topic!)
